ISLAMABAD:
The Supreme Court (SC) of Pakistan has pushed aside a petition searching for postponement of the 2d section of Local Government (LG) elections in Sindh, ARY News said on Wednesday.
A three-member bench, headed via Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Umar Ata Bandial, took up the MQM-P leaders’ petition towards the Sindh government, pertaining to the delimitation of constituencies for the neighborhood our bodies election in the province.
During the hearing, the chief justice stated it grew to become clear that the delimitation of constituencies are carried out by using Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and the nearby administration.
The SC disregarded the plea searching for postponement of 2nd section of Sindh LG elections, pointing out that The 2nd section of polls will be held on August 28.
